Tesco in de mobiele betalingen

Supermarkt Tesco gaat ook mobiel, aldus e-payment news. Maar niet met de mobiele telefoon maar met de PDA.

Tesco.com, the UK's largest Internet retailer which is owned by the giant Tesco group, is to launch a mobile shopping service called Pocket Shopper.

According to UK magazine Computer Weekly, the service will allow registered users with Microsoft Pocket PC-based mobile devices to send in their orders while on the move. Users can download the Pocket Shopper software from the Tesco.com website. They can use the software to select items from a range of 20,000 goods available on the website, using a credit or debit card. When they go online, their order is sent to Tesco.com which delivers the goods to the customer's home. Computer Weekly says the service is particularly aimed at commuters.
